Abstract
This article discusses pedagogical practices in the contemporary context of multilingualism and media in the teaching and learning process in vocational and technological education. Currently, teachers face constant challenges in the classroom regarding new digital languages and technologies. The study of media, multilingualism, and multiliteracies is justified, especially in relation to the ethical use of such tools in the teacher training process. It is based on teachers' knowledge, discourse, media, and technologies, as well as studies on multiliteracies within the scope of teaching practice. The objectives are to discuss the challenges of teaching in the development of pedagogical activities and the use of media, and to analyze a textual production elaborated on multilingualism and discourse in the context of contemporary media. The research is descriptive in nature, with a qualitative approach, based on the description and analysis of a textual production process, developed by teachers and managers of technical and technological education, from a Language and Practices course, in a postgraduate program, at a public technological education institution in the state of São Paulo.
